Alexander, Patricia A.R., MD, FACP, CMD

Patricia Alexander, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and has served patients of North Brevard County since 2003. Dr. Alexander’s interests include preventive medicine, treatment of hypertension, diabetes, cardiac disease, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), asthma, and lipid disorders. As an advocate of prevention and wellness, she works with patients to involve them in their health care management.

Dr. Alexander earned certification as a medical director in long term care by the American Medical Directors Association and serves as the medical director at Parrish Home Health and a local nursing and rehabilitation center.

Dr. Alexander is active teaching the next generation of medical professionals, working with nurse practitioner students from the University of Central Florida. She acts as preceptor for graduate ARNPs in her practice, and lectures to the medical community. Dr. Alexander has held positions on the Parrish Medical Center Staff Review Committee, ICU Committee and Nursing/Physician Communications Committee. She holds professional and society memberships with the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, Florida Medical Directors Association and American Medical Directors Association.

Dr. Alexander received her medical training at St. George’s University School of Medicine, St. George’s, Grenada, West Indies.
